INTERPRETATIONS AND ABSORPTION:

1. When the cloud bursts, it rains all over. If the rain falls on a field that is well cultivated, the seeds germinate. The same benefits cannot accrue to a field that has not been prepared well. 
2. The world is not a mere judicial system of rewards and punishments; it is rather an educational system. "Vedanta way of living assures us the capacity to change the events that can be changed, face the events that cannot be changed, and also provide us wisdom to differentiate these two situations." (Swamy Krishnananda of Divine Life Society)
3. Fate and Free-will are two movements of cosmic energy. The will of the individual is a segment of cosmic will. ( Sri Aurobindo).
4. Divine grace is finally the deciding factor, but the manifestation of the divine grace is preceded by man's long preparation. (Sri Aurobindo).
5. Gods dispensation is according to one's fate. Fate is as per one's actions.
